In my early 20's, I was in a very bad financial situation with excessive debt, zero savings, and poor spending habits. I researched and learned from financial gurus, eventually tailoring their advice to better suit my needs. Now, I'm debt free and it's been years since I've felt stressed about money, despite expensive vet bills, home owner emergencies, and other real life catastrophes. In 2010 I created my blog, Ask Away, where I write about finances as well as some other topics, and I even wrote a book entitled Fixing Your Finances.
